IBARA
The best gifts from Rwanda carry a maker’s story: Imigongo geometry, woven baskets, photography from the hills and lakes, or a small original painting. IBARA helps you find verified creators and get your purchase to your hotel—or home.
Travellers often want something meaningful that still fits a trip: pieces under RWF 200,000, crafts that pack carefully, and art with a clear cultural origin. This guide collects those starting points in one place.
If you are shopping for conference delegates, hosts, or family abroad, look for works with a named artist, clear materials, and fulfilment you can trust. IBARA’s checkout supports hotel delivery in Kigali and international shipping for eligible items.
Avoid the trap of buying something that only looks “African.” Ask who made it, where the tradition comes from, and whether the creator is paid fairly. On IBARA, artists can keep up to 92% of each sale.
