About
IBARA
IBARA is Rwanda's art platform. We connect collectors, visitors, and the East African diaspora with verified Rwandan artists — Imigongo, Agaseke, paintings, and crafts — so creative talent reaches audiences at home and abroad.
Our mission
We give artists professional tools to showcase their work, tell their stories, and earn a fair living from their craft. Every artwork on IBARA comes directly from the person who created it.
From Kigali studios to workshops in Musanze and Huye, we believe Rwanda's visual culture — ubuhanzi and ubukorikori — deserves a digital home that is beautiful, trustworthy, and built for local buyers, visitors, and the diaspora across East Africa.
What we stand for
Every piece is original ubuhanzi from verified Rwandan artists — Imigongo, Agaseke, paintings, photography, sculpture, and crafts.
Artists keep up to 92% of each sale. Creators should be fairly compensated for their craft.
Verified profiles, moderated listings, and secure payments protect buyers and artists alike.
Supporting IBARA strengthens Rwanda's creative economy and helps ubuhanzi travel across East Africa and the world.
