Shipping & Delivery Policy
Last updated 21 July 2026
IBARA connects buyers directly with independent artists and galleries across Rwanda. Because each seller packs and ships their own work, delivery timelines and methods can vary — this page explains what to expect.
Fulfilment options
Depending on the artwork and your location, you may be offered:
- Local pickup from the artist or gallery.
- Delivery within Kigali.
- Delivery elsewhere in Rwanda.
- Delivery to your hotel, for visitors currently travelling in Rwanda.
- International shipping for eligible, ready-to-ship pieces.
- A custom shipping quotation for large, fragile, or unusually shaped work.
Dispatch times
Each order confirmation shows an estimated dispatch time set by the seller. Original, one-of-a-kind pieces may take longer to prepare for shipping than ready-to-ship prints or crafts.
Hotel delivery
For hotel delivery, we ask for your hotel name, guest/reservation name, and expected check-out date so delivery can be coordinated with hotel reception ahead of your departure. We do not guarantee same-day delivery unless explicitly confirmed on your order.
International shipping
International shipping availability and cost depend on the artwork's size, weight, and destination, and are shown before you complete payment. Buyers are responsible for any import duties or customs charges applied by their destination country.
Damage in transit
If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and the artwork. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for what happens next.
